With Panopto (formerly called DukeCapture), you can schedule automatic recordings in any of our 150+ configured classroom/conference rooms or manually start recordings in your classroom, on your laptop or even your iOS mobile device using Panopto's mobile app. The recording links can be be published directly in Sakai or anywhere else on the web, and can be shared via RSS.

If you are a student interested in creating recordings with Panopto speak with your instructor.

If you are already publishing media using Panopto, get the Panopto User Guide. Panopto Software’s license fees are covered centrally by Duke’s Office of Information Technology, so there is no cost to use the software. If you wish to integrate DukeCapture into your classroom to have automated, scheduled recordings, there will be costs for hardware and integration that need to be funded by your school or department.

Panopto is supported locally by your school or departmental IT professionals, contact them directly for help or contact OIT’s Service Desk for more information. 

While live streaming is offered on Panopto’s Cloud version, our on-premise installation is not optimized for live streaming, so it is not supported at this time at Duke.
