Local and Long Distance Service

You can call local and long distance numbers on most Duke campus telephone lines. The cost of long distance is included in the monthly flat rate charge for phone service. To dial a local (Durham/Raleigh area) number, dial 919 plus the seven-digit phone number. For long distance calling, dial 1 plus the area code and number, or for international calls, dial 011 followed by the country code and phone number.
