Jabber

You can quickly chat with colleagues on Jabber or use its expanded features for video calls and more. 

Jabber is a unified communications application for Windows, Mac OS X, and mobile devices. It provides instant messaging (IM or chat), presence (the ability to see if someone is available), video calls, voice messaging, desktop sharing and conferencing capabilities. It also has WebEx integration, which allows you to launch online meetings directly.

To start using chat right away, download Jabber from the OIT Software site. If you would like to enable enhanced features like teleconferencing, please contact the OIT Service Desk. 

Please note: Cisco Jabber Video for Telepresence (or Movi) has been decommissioned. Users should use the Cisco Jabber client instead. If you need to connect with someone outside of Duke, contact the Service Desk to request a Jabber guest account.
