Splunk
You can use Splunk to search, monitor, and analyze machine-generated data using a web-style interface. Using a searchable repository, you can generate graphs, reports, alerts, dashboards, and visualizations. Splunk makes machine data accessible across an organization, identifies data patterns, provides metrics used to troubleshoot problems, and provides intelligence for business operations.
Need to create a Splunk Index?
Check Group Manager to see if your organization already has a Splunk Index.
If you find a suitable index in the list, contact the group owners for access. If you do not see an appropriate index, submit a Splunk Index Request. Alternatively, you can search the Service Now Catalog for "Splunk" to locate the Splunk Index Request form.
To send data to Splunk from departmental servers contact the Splunk team at splunkjointcluster@duke.edu.
