Improving support for regulated and sensitive research data projects

Use the PNR's integrated services for the storage and analysis of sensitive and regulated research data. They are primarily intended for provost area researchers. The PNR complies with IT Security Policies

The PNR offers:

  • Technical assistance when you need it, self-service when you don't. Existing PNR projects are managed through Research Toolkits, and Research Computing is available for support.
  • Facilitation services through OR&I to manage the complexities associated with regulated data
  • No cost secure and flexible storage and analytical tools for most projects. Additional computation and storage resources are available for a fee.

Researchers submitting projects to the campus IRB with sensitive human subject data can develop their Data Protection Plan with the PNR in mind. Using the PNR will expedite the ITSO security review.

IMPORTANT: Duke Health PHI is not allowed in the Duke Protected Network for Research.
