SAN is one storage option at Duke. SAN connectivity has traditionally been the method for servers to access centralized storage. SAN connected servers must be within one of OIT’s SAN connected datacenters (currently Fitz East or North building sites) and requires the appropriate hba connectivity on the server.  SAN storage limits a single server from accessing and controlling the assigned storage.
