SAN

SAN is one storage option at Duke. SAN connectivity has traditionally been the method for servers to access centralized storage. SAN-connected servers must be within one of OIT’s SAN-connected datacenters (currently Fitz East or North building sites) and requires the appropriate HBA connectivity on the server.  SAN storage limits a single server from accessing and controlling the assigned storage.
