The OIT Service Desk, located in The Link, is open for walk-up visits.

You can get in-person IT support, computer diagnostics, equipment loans, drop-off equipment, and receive additional services.


Reserving Equipment

Students may reserve equipment online by clicking the “Reserve Equipment at The Link” button on the right.
 
Staff and Faculty are eligible for walk-up rentals only and must provide a valid fund code at the time of checkout.
 
Affiliates are not eligible for equipment rentals.

Equipment Loaner Rules

Equipment is loaned on a no-cost basis, though fees for losses, damages, and late returns may apply. OIT analysts at the Link are available during all open hours to answer your questions about equipment and policies. You may also contact the Service Desk at oit.duke.edu/help.

Laptops are loaned to students on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not available for reservation. While OIT strives to meet needs on equipment loans, stock/availability is not always guaranteed. For long-term laptop rentals, students should contact the DukeLife Office, which may be able to assist
