Richard Outten

Director, Web and Mobile Development

Richard Outten has been working at Duke University since 2000 and oversees the Web and Mobile teams. This team is divided into two groups: Duke Web Services (DWS) and Application Development Team (ADT). DWS provides a range of site services such as Sites@Duke Express, Sites@Duke Pro, and Trinity School's distribution. ADT supports custom applications that are developed for several different use cases.

In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Richard is an active member of the Web Governance group at Duke. Before coming to North Carolina, he graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Software Engineering.
