Error Message When Adding Your DukeCard to Google Pay
A small number of users attempting to add their DukeCard to Google Pay have received a Google error that states "Something went wrong - To save your ID, you'll need to start over from the ID management app." This error (pictured in the screenshot below) is a result of having an outdated version of Google Pay Services (GPS) on your device. To resolve this issue, you should manually update GPS using the steps below:
- On your Android phone, open the Settings app .
- Tap Apps & notifications. See all apps.
- Scroll down and tap Google Play Services.
- Scroll down and tap App Details.
- Tap Update or Install.
Once the update is complete, you should be able to go back to the eAccounts application and add your DukeCard to Google Pay.
