Director of Business Information Systems

Scott Seaman is the Director of Business Information Systems at Duke University. He has been with the institution for several decades, having graduated from Duke with a B.A. in economics and public policy in 1981. Beginning work at Duke in 1984, he joined OIT in 1996 where he has been instrumental in supporting the systems that run Duke's core enterprise business functions, including HR/payroll, finance, and procurement.

In his current role as Director of Business Information Systems, Scott oversees a team that provides all the technical services needed to build, run, maintain, and enhance the applications used by Duke University. The enterprise business processes at Duke are built primarily on SAP ECC, BW, SRM, CRM and portal systems, and Scott's team ensures that these systems operate efficiently and effectively.
