Data Security Review

Campus Institutional Review Board (IRB) submits protocols to the IT Security Office (ITSO) for data security review if either of the following are marked true (Yes) on the form: ​

1. Research Team Seeks Existing Data from a Provider where an Agreement or Contract are Required

2. Data are Sensitive

Expedited Review

Reviews are expedited if the research team selects the Protected Network for Research and/or solely secure Duke Cloud services (e.g., Duke licensed: Qualtrics, Box, Microsoft OneDrive, Zoom, Microsoft Transcription with Word) for all storage and analysis related to the study.
