What’s New for Feed Owners & Managers

  • All users that manage feeds for their group or department will be called a Feed Manager. There must be at least one Feed Manager that’s considered the owner. The feed owner will be the main contact for any requests or questions about their feed(s). All requests to add feed owners or managers will need to be requested
  • Feed Managers are now able to edit an existing flyer, if they own it, and replace the image with a new version without having to delete and re-upload the image, even if it’s being displayed by other departments.
  • When looking at the public pool flyers, a Feed Manager can now see where the flyers are being displayed, even if they don’t own the flyers.
  • When editing a feed, a Feed Manager can now see both the public pool flyers and flyers currently assigned to their feed on one page and have the ability to drag/ drop flyers from the public pool to their feed.

Other Changes

  • Help articles and documentation are now located on the DukeFlyer Service web page instead of the landing page. https://oit.duke.edu/service/dukeflyer
  • After login, Feed Managers now see their group name in the left panel instead of the feed names. A Feed Manager must select the Feeds tab to see and manage flyers in the feed(s).
  • If you change the display period of a flyer, the start and end dates/times must fall within the original boundaries set by the flyer submitter.
  • Images do not need to be a specific DPI; however, they still need a resolution of 1920x1080 (landscape) or 1080x1920 (portrait).
  • Improved mobile experience.
