Submitter and Created By Fields in Kuali Build

Kuali Build contains several "system metadata" fields labeled Submitter and Created By. Created By fields have a value when the form submitter opens a form; Submitter values are created when the form is submitted. The metadata fields are populated when a Duke user authenticates to Kuali Build using their NetID and password (Shibboleth authentication).

Note: Forms that allow anonymous access do not populate the metadata fields.

Below are Duke-specific values of a subset of the system metadata fields:

• Submitter - Display Name: Full name as displayed in OIT Self-Service (via Duke Human Resources)
• Submitter - School ID: Duke Unique ID
• Submitter - Email: Preferred email configured in OIT Self-Service (see Accounts tab)
• Submitter - Username: Duke email in NetID@duke.edu format

The corresponding Created By fields have the same values.
