Zoom Meetings: How To Manage Zoom Recordings in Cloud Storage
Zoom recordings are not intended for long-term or permanent storage. To maintain cloud storage capacity for all Duke users, please review your recordings and delete or download this content. Recordings can also be transferred to streaming services such as Panopto or YouTube.
To manage your recordings, follow instructions below.
Table of Contents
Download a Recording
- Go to duke.zoom.us and Sign In.
- Select Recordings.
- Click the “…” beside the recording you wish to download and select Download. (Recordings may contain two or more separate files.)
Delete a Recording (Zoom)
- Go to duke.zoom.us and Sign In.
- Select Recordings.
- Select recordings to delete and click Delete Selected. A confirmation message appears.
- Click Yes. The recording is moved to the Trash. Repeat for additional pages.
- IMPORTANT! Delete All will delete all recordings, even those on subsequent pages. You can recover recordings from the Trash for 30 days, after which they are deleted permanently.
Delete or Archive a Recording (Clean Your Zoom)
IMPORTANT!! Clean Your Zoom is updated overnight and may not accurately reflect recordings that were moved to or recovered from the Zoom Trash. If items are missing from the list, check again the following day.
- Go to zrm.oit.duke.edu. If you are presented with a Zoom-branded page for signing in, click the SSO Key icon. If prompted, enter duke as the domain.
- Click the Allow button at the bottom of the page.
- The Clean Your Zoom page should appear listing all your recordings.
- Select the recordings you wish to manage and click the Select Action button:
- Select Delete to delete recordings. The recordings will begin moving to the Trash in Zoom.
- Select Move to Duke Storage to archive the content. The recordings will begin moving to Duke Storage. It is not necessary to stay on this page for these actions to complete. This may take from minutes to hours to move the content to Duke Storage.
