Installing Microsoft 365 and Managing your current Microsoft 365 installations
-How can I install Microsoft 365?
- Access your Duke email account at the following address https://mail.duke.edu
- Log in with your NetID, password, and MFA (if necessary)
- In the top left corner of the email site, click on the App launcher (box with the 9 mini squares).
- Choose the "Microsoft 365" link
- This link will redirect you to a new page that says "Welcome to Microsoft 365", click the "Install and more"Inst button on the top right corner of this page.
- Then click "Install Microsoft 365 Apps" from the drop down menu.
- You will be redirected to a page under Apps and Devices. Please click the Install Office button
- A download will begin to occur on your device and you will see the following pop up on your screen:

- Once the download finishes, click open the file to start the Microsoft Installer.
- Once the installation is complete, you will need to sign in with your log in credentials (netid@duke.edu), password, and Multi-Factor Authentication (if necessary)
-How can I change which computers or devices have Microsoft 365 installed on them?
- Access your Duke email account at the following address https://mail.duke.edu
- Log in with your NetID, password, and MFA (if necessary)
- Click on your Initials (or Photo icon) in the top right of the email website
- Choose the "My account" link
- Then choose select "View apps & devices" or select "Apps & devices" on the left
- Select "Devices" and all detected installs will appear
- View your current installations of Microsoft 365
- You can choose which devices(s) you would like to Sign out of
- *Note this will sign you out of device not uninstall software
