How to reset network adapter windows

Method 1:

Step 1) Open Cmd prompt as an administrator

           To do this : Press the Windows Key, type cmd, right-click on "Command                      Prompt" and select Run as administrator.                        

 

Step 2)  Type netsh winsock reset and select Enter

             Type netsh int ip reset and select Enter

             Type ipconfig /release and select Enter

             Type ipconfig /renew and select Enter

             Type ipconfig /flushdns and select Enter 

 

Step 3) Restart computer

 

Method 2 : If you are using a Windows 11 device, start by running the automated Network and Internet troubleshooter in the Get Help app. It will automatically run diagnostics and attempt to fix most of the problems.

To do this:

  • Open the Start menu and select Settings.
  • Select System in the left menu, then Troubleshoot on the right.
  • Click Other troubleshooters.
  • Find Internet Connections and click Run. 

         Alternatively, right-click the network icon in the taskbar and select  

         Troubleshoot problems.

 

Method 3: 

                     Using the Network Reset Feature: 
 
    1. Open Settings: Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app. 
       
    2. Navigate to Network & Internet: Click on "Network & Internet". 
       
    3. Go to Status: Select the "Status" tab. 
       
    4. Click Network Reset: Scroll down and click on "Network reset". 
       
  • Confirm the Reset: Click "Reset now" and then "Yes" to confirm
