Smart Prompts, Better Results: AI for Your Academic Use Case (Hybrid)

Speaker

Dr. Elise Mueller, Associate Director of Learning Innovation Dr. Sarah Wike, Teaching Consultant

Effective prompting is at the heart of working productively with generative AI. In this interactive session, we’ll introduce practical strategies for crafting strong prompts and demonstrate how thoughtful prompting leads to better results. Participants will explore discipline-specific examples they can adapt for their own teaching, research, and professional contexts, as well as for student learning. The session concludes with open lab time for in-person attendees to experiment with AI tools, with facilitators on hand for support.

When you register, you'll be asked to choose whether you'd like to attend in person (Rubenstein 153, Holsti-Anderson Room) or online. Online registrants will receive a Zoom URL when they register. In-person seats are limited--be sure you can attend that day.
