Personal Certificates

Current students, staff, and faculty can receive personal signing certificates for email. Signing certificates allow you to encrypt emails and digitally sign them. With certificates, the email recipient can have greater confidence that the email you sent has not been tampered with, and that the email is from you and not someone impersonating you.
You can decide to use personal signing certificates on all or just some emails. Options are determined by what email client you use.
