What forms of payment are accepted?
- Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Duke Procurement Card)
- Accepted online only
- Fund Code
- Accepted online only
We do not accept IR, cash, Flex, or any other forms of payment aside from the two above.
Where can I pick up my software?
The software pickup location is at the OIT Service Desk - The Link
The Link is located in the lower level of Perkins Library.

Payment Options
For software orders that require payment, you will have two options to pay:
- Online with a Credit Card
- Online with a Fund Code
If you choose to pay online with a credit card
You will be taken to the DukePay hosted order page where you will securely enter your payment information. Once payment is made, you will be redirected to a download page from which you can download your software immediately unless your order requires additional manual processing, in which case you will receive your software via e-mail within 3 business days. You will be e-mailed a receipt automatically to the e-mail address you provided with your order. The information from that order will be accessible from the src="https://duke.service-now.com/My Orders" page on the main software website.
If you also ordered installation media and paid online with a credit card or fund code, when your software is ready for pick up, you will be notified via e-mail and you can pick up your software at the OIT Service Desk - The Link.
We do not accept credit card payments over the phone, by e-mail, or in person.
You have two options to pay remotely:
- You can pay online with a credit card when you submit your order.
- You can pay online with a fund code when you submit your order.
Credit cards are not accepted over the phone, by e-mail, or in person.
How long does it take for me to get my software?
OIT Software Licensing operates during normal business hours. Monday-Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
If you pay online with a credit card or fund code, your electronic download will be available immediately after placing the order.
If your order requires approval, you will receive your licenses and software download links within 3 business days of payment being received. The turnaround time generally depends on order volume, and usually is much quicker: less then a business hour in most cases.
In most cases, the software is sent electronically as a download link via e-mail. In those cases, there is nothing to ship.
If you order installation media and you are unable to come to the Link to pick them up, we can send the media via interdepartmental mail. If media are sent using this method, there is no way we can guarantee when or if you will receive them. If you are in an off-campus location, you can send us a pre-addressed, prepaid envelope/box (e.g. flat-rate box) and we'd be happy to mail the software to you.
If you would like to request a refund, please e-mail OIT Software Licensing to discuss. We will issue refunds for software licenses purchased through OIT in all reasonable cases.
