Microsoft 365: Install Software Applications
Microsoft 365 includes a suite of applications that includes Outlook, Word, Excel, and more.
To install the Microsoft 365 suite, do the following:
Visit https://mail.duke.edu and log in.
At the top left hand corner there is a Grid of dots 3X3 this would be on the left of the Duke icon, please click on the grid.
The grid will expand to present Microsoft apps, please click on Microsoft 365
Once you click on the Microsoft 365 it should pop up with a new screen and you then can see the "Install and more" on the right hand side of the main page.
This will generate a a drop down menu for the install, click "Install Microsoft 365 apps". This will bring up a new page to install
Please Install Office and allow it to download and install.

Please note: Duke affiliates do not get a full Microsoft Office license and are not automatically qualified for desktop apps. Online versions of Microsoft applications are available via https://mail.duke.edu/ > 9 circle dots at the top left > Apps. Duke affiliates who absolutely need access to desktop apps will need to contact the OIT Service Desk.
