Captioning for YouTube Files with Rev and 3Play

Rev and 3Play have round trip integrations with YouTube allowing you to link your YouTube account and authenticate these caption providers to publish captions directly to your videos.

Captioning Your YouTube Videos with Rev

For Rev, choose the YouTube option when checking out on rev.com (https://www.rev.com/checkout/captionfiles). All your Public and Unlisted videos will be available for captioning:

Step 1: Log into your Rev account.

Step 2: Click the button in the upper right portion of the screen that says "Place New Order" and select "Captions" from the drop-down list.

Step 3: Click the red button that says "YouTube" under "Pull videos directly from your account."

Step 4: Select the videos you would like Rev to caption.

Step 5: Sign in to your YouTube (Google) account if you aren't already signed in there. If you are signed in with one account but need to use a different one, click your account name on the right side of the screen and select "Add Another Account" from the drop-down menu.

Step 6: Click the red button that says "Add Selected to Cart" and proceed to checkout.

Step 7: Once Rev has completed the captions for your videos, they will be automatically added to the files in YouTube. You don't need to download them, though they will be available for download from your Rev account if you need them for other purposes.

Captioning Your YouTube Videos with 3Play

For 3Play, the first step in this process is to create an account with 3Play Media if you don't currently have one. You can do so via the following link: http://www.3playmedia.com/duke/.

Once your 3Play account is set up, visit http://www.3playmedia.com/services-features/tools/integrations/youtube/ and follow the instructions provided to link your YouTube and 3Play accounts.
