OIT-supported Macs to receive update this month
Due to recent changes made by Apple and Microsoft, Duke IT is implementing changes to all OIT-supported Mac computers. These changes will be silently deployed on a rolling basis this month and should not cause any disruption. The next time those with OIT-supported computers reboot, they may need to reconnect to Dukeblue.
In addition, an application named “Xcreds” will be installed. Xcreds allows for synchronization of your NetID password, and the password used to log into the Mac. Xcreds adds a “Cloud Login” button on the lower left of the Mac login screen. This button only needs to be used to update the NetID password.
(All groups/schools will need to implement these changes on their own schedules.)
