Evan Levine

Sr. Director, Academic & Media Technologies

As Sr. Director of Academic & Media Technologies, Evan works to foster an innovative, collaborative technology environment and provide a wide range of services to the Duke community. He is responsible for Duke’s enterprise media architecture and academic production, creative and user experience services, makerspaces, physical and virtual labs, co-curricular technical education, student innovation, software licensing, web accessibility, and more.

Evan oversees Duke’s IT Council, comprised of IT leadership from each of the schools. Additionally, he co-chairs the Web Governance committee, providing strategic direction for Duke’s web communications, hosting, and policies.

Evan has been at Duke for over 15 years, beginning his career in OIT's Service Desk and performing numerous roles in software licensing, lab engineering, and academic services. When not hard at work, Evan “relaxes" by moonlighting as a racing driver, motorsports instructor, and co-founder/series director of the SpecE46 racing class.
