Director of Academic & Media Technologies
Evan Levine became Director of Academic & Media Technologies in 2012, with oversight of Duke Web Services, Media Technologies, IT Training, Software & Lab Services, and the IT Innovation CoLab. Evan is responsible for fostering an innovative, collaborative technology environment and providing a wide range of services to the Duke community. A few of those services include lecture capture, media streaming and publishing, collaboration platforms, specialty and virtual labs, eLearning tools, technical training, and web/application development.
Evan has been at Duke for over 10 years, beginning his career in OIT's Service Desk. Since then performing the roles of Technical Lead, Software License Coordinator, Manager of Software & Lab Engineering, and Assistant Director of Academic Services.
When not negotiating enterprise agreements, providing strategic direction for learning technologies, implementing new services, and collaborating with campus partners, Evan “relaxes" by moonlighting as a racing driver, motorsports instructor, and Series Director for the National Auto Sport Association.
