Using DukeWiki for Collaboration

A wiki is a special Web site that anyone with access can edit, directly from the Web page itself. Unlike traditional Web pages, which only the owner can change, wikis enable more timely, group-driven collaboration. DukeWiki lets groups at Duke share information and collaborate online easily.

Why would I want a DukeWiki space? Wiki spaces are great for project teams, workgroups, or other communities that want to share and jointly modify documents like project notes, meeting minutes, lists, and the like.

Who can access my DukeWiki space? Individuals control their own sites and grant access using Duke NetIDs. You can restrict viewing access just to some Duke affiliates or make spaces browseable on the Web. However, DukeWiki pages can only be edited by those Duke affiliates whom you allow to edit your space, not the general public.

How do I request a DukeWiki space?

Space requests can be made online via the DukeWiki Space Request Form.
