The audio and video are out of synch when I stream my file but not when I play it locally. What is wrong?
This problem is often related to the hinting process. Try this approach: export your finished, unhinted movie from Final Cut or QuickTime Pro as "Movie to QuickTime Movie"/ Select Options/ Select Prepare for Internet Streaming (Hinted Streaming) and click Settings/ Click the Track Hinter Settings button/ Select "Always use QuickTime encoding."

Procedures for recovering uploaded files.
DukeStream files are backed up using OIT’s standard back up systems. If you delete a file accidentally and want to restore it, please follow the procedures outlined below. Important Note: Files that have been deleted from the file system may not be available after 30 days from the date you deleted them so it is important to do the restore procedures as soon as you realize you need the file back.
1. Try webfiles.duke.edu first (there is a backup tab and you may be able to recover the file without Service Desk assistance).
2. Contact the Service Desk with the path and name of the content as well as the point in time for recovery.
3. If that date is within 30 days, OIT will be able to recover the file but after 30 days the success rate drops.
