The following recording from Carnegie Mellon University demonstrates Panopto's ability to use multiple cameras in a single recording. This is a good approach for classrooms that do not use PowerPoint or other display technologies. This features one standard camera for the professor and one high definition camera for the board.

The following presention was recorded from a single Macbook laptop computer using a Phoenix USB Speakerphone. Slides, screen and audio were recorded, but no video. A completely self-contained recording system recording in a room without any integrated recording capabilities.

For this presentation, video was not deemed important. If you as the speaker will be moving around, then the built-in webcam will generally not work well, however if you are sitting in front of your computer, there would be no reason not to record video.
