What is Adobe Connect?

Adobe Connect is a Flash based web conferencing solution available through OIT Site Licensing. One license holder may host unlimited meetings of unlimited duration with up to 100 participants per meeting with only one meeting being actively used at a time. The license holder is required to be in attendance in each meeting and act as a host.

OIT is currently considering adding a second web conferencing solution which may be less expensive than Adobe Connect. There is no date for potential implementation of any alternate solution that may be selected. If you require a web conferencing solution  today, you may continue to order Adobe Connect. The license you order today will be valid and supported until February 24th, 2013. The Adobe Connect license fee is non-refundable.

How do I get access to Adobe Connect?

You may make a purchase request to OIT Site Licensing by visiting the OIT Site Licensing page found here and selecting "Get Software" at the bottom of the page. If you are purchasing a license for someone else, please be sure to include their name, email address and department in the "Comments" box. An OIT-Site License staff member will contact you within 3 business days to complete the purchase process. Cost for a personal meeting space annual license which allows for you to host unlimited meetings (one concurrent) of unlimited duration with up to 100 participants is $150. There is no pro-ration of licenses and no refunds. Any licenses purchased between November 1st and the annual renewal date of February 24th, will be automatically renewed for the following year at no additional charge. Once the purchase process has been completed, you should receive your license and login information within 5 business days as well as useful information on how to begin using the software.

How do I renew my Adobe Connect license?

All Adobe Connect licenses come up for renewal each year on February 24th.
  • If you purchased your license between February 24th and October 31st: You may renew your license by making a purchase request to OIT Site Licensing by visiting the OIT Site Licensing page found here and selecting "Get Software" at the bottom of the page. If you are renewing a license for someone else, please be sure to include their name, email address and department in the "Comments" box.
  • If you purchased your license between November 1st and February 24th, your license will renew automatically. There is no additional cost and there is nothing you need to do in order to renew.
Please note, OIT will confirm support of Adobe Connect through February 24th, 2013 before accepting any orders after November 1st, 2011.
