Discounts on Personal Wireless Service
Duke employees can take advantage of discounts on wireless service through Verizon Wireless and AT&T.
Verizon Wireless
Duke employees receive the following benefits:
- Option of 1 or 2 year contract ($175 early termination fee applies)
- 15 percent off plans of $35.00 or more per month
- Discounted prices on phones
- 25 percent off accessories
Visit Verizon Wireless for Duke to confirm your eligibility. (You'll receive an e-mail at your work address that gives you next steps). You'll be able to:
- Sign up for new service
- Port your number from another wireless carrier
- Upgrade your phone
- Purchase accessories
- Register your existing Verizon Wireless service to get the Duke discount (15% off retain plans of $35.00 or more)

AT&T Wireless
Faculty and staff can save on personal phone services with AT&T through Duke’s employee discount program. In order to receive the discount on monthly service, existing AT&T wireless customers must go to the AT&T discount validation page to validate the discount. Use FAN #2673732 and your Duke e-mail address for validation.
Duke employees receive the following benefits (benefits do apply to the NEW 3G iPhone monthly plans):
- 15 percent discount off monthly voice and data rate plans
- Discounted prices on phones
Some exceptions may apply. For example the discount for family plans applies only to the main number.
To sign up for new service or to make changes to or cancel existing services:
- Option 1 - Visit an AT&T Store: You must provide the AT&T store with the code FAN 2673732.
