Telephone Audio Conferencing
Users at Duke have several telephone audio conferencing options available.
- Telephone audio conferencing is available from every Duke Cisco IP phone at no additional charge (see the instructions below).
- Operator-assisted, pay per use telephone audio conferencing is available from third party service providers PGi (Premiere Global Services, Inc.) and Verizon Business Conferencing. A Duke p-card is required for payment. Note that these providers also provide pay per use, ad hoc Web conferencing services. - Free telephone audio conferencing is available from InstantConference. Note that long distance charges may apply for participants, and no operator support is available.
Audio conferencing from a Duke (Cisco IP) phone
Duke's phone system allows you to set up a free conference call for up to 10 parties using your phone's menus and buttons. To establish a conference call, do the following:
- Dial the first party.
- Once connected, select More. (More appears in the display. To select this option, press the corresponding button below the display.)
- Select CONFRN (Conference).
- Dial the next party.
- Once connected, press CONFRN. All parties are connected.
To add additional parties, repeat steps 3 - 5.
