VoIP phone system upgrade Sept. 19
Duke will upgrade its VoIP phone system across the university and health system from Sept. 13 to 19. To ensure a smooth upgrade, OIT will limit changes that can be made to the phone system database for two weeks before the transition.
From Sept. 5 through Sept. 19, only critical changes, such as new hires, will be made to the phone system. All other changes requested during this time (such as name updates) will be delayed until after the upgrade is complete.
During the upgrade on Sept. 19, some external calls may be disconnected and phones may be unavailable for brief periods. For more information, visit the IT alerts page.
Trouble tickets and outages will continue to be worked as normal. To submit a report of an outage or a request for a critical addition or change during this period, please contact the OIT (919-684-2200) or DHTS Service Desk (919-684-2243.
