DukeCard Office changes hours
Beginning Dec. 21, the hours of operations for the DukeCard office in the West Campus Union building will change to 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The end of around-the-clock operations for the DukeCard office reflect system improvements that will notify Duke Police responders directly about monitored door alarms. To ensure a smooth transition, DukeCard personnel will work side-by-side with Duke Police staff for the first month that the hours are changed.
When this change goes into effect, overnight staff in the West Union DukeCard office will no longer be available to issue replacement ID cards. Staff at the service desk at The Link in Perkins Library will issue replacement cards between the closing of the DukeCard office each evening through the normal closing time for the Link service desk, often as late as midnight. Students who need access to their residence hall after the Link service desk closes should call the building's on-call resident assistant, or use the DukeCard office number (684-5800) around the clock for other contact numbers.
