Firefox 8 issues with mail attachments
Users of Firefox 8 downloading mail attachments in Outlook Web Access (OWA), the web client for Exchange mail, will find that the attachments are all saved with the name "attachment.ashx," and the file extension prevents the users from opening these files. Renaming the file with the correct extension (.doc or .docx, .ppt or .pptx, .xls or .xlsx, etc.) will allow you to open the file in the appropriate program. Mozilla, the company that supplies Firefox, is aware of the issue and is working to correct it in the version of the browser due out at the end of the year.
