Outlook for Mac expiration warning
This notice was changed on Dec. 13, 2011, to reflect the fact that Microsoft has issued an Outlook 2011 update that addresses problem of erronous password expiration warnings. Please install MS Office update 14.1.4 to eliminate the password expiration warnings.
for Mac users is reporting an error message warning that their Duke password will expire ... and then the message specifies a negative number of days to the expiration event.
The cause of this error message was introduced in Microsoft’s latest update (version 14.1.3) to Mac Outlook 2011. The issue is not hampering users' ability to send or receive mail through Outlook. Users’ NetID passwords haven't expired, and are not at risk of expiring.
We will remove this service update when Microsoft has addressed the issue with a subsequent update.
