Directory queries may yield error messages
On Wednesday, Aug. 17, Duke will update the SSL certificate for ldap.duke.edu, the server that supplies Duke directory information to client programs on local machines. Most clients that use ldap.duke.edu to get information from the Duke directory (such as Outllok or Mac Mail trying to retrieve email addresses for Duke people) should not experience a problem with this change. However, clients set to verify the certificate may return an error.
If you get an error message when your client tries to retrieve information from the Duke directory, please contact your local IT support group or the OIT Service Desk.
