DukeMail performance for some mail users

Update 2:48pm: OIT has applied the vendor patch for DukeMail and DukeMail is now functioning as intended. We believe all user-visible problems ended at 1:46pm.

Update 1:45pm: OIT staff are implementing a change recommended by our DukeMail system vendor in an attempt to resolve current performance problems. We will continue to monitor this problem and to provide updates as they become available.

Update 12pm: Some DukeMail users are continuing to experience problems related to mail delivery and transmission. Affected users may notice delays in new mail reaching their inbox, or errors when their mail client attempts to save outgoing messages to their sent email folder. OIT staff are continuing to work with the mail system vendor to diagnose and resolve this problem.
