DukeMail - Emergency Maintenance

Update 7:15pm: As of approximately 6:00pm, mail service and performance had returned to normal levels for all DukeMail users. Although the outage has currently ended, OIT staff continue to work with our e-mail system vendor to determine the ultimate root cause of the outage in order to prevent any re-occurrence of service interruption as system usage and load rises during normal business hours.

Update 5:15pm: Approximately 25 percent of DukeMail users continue to experience e-mail service interruptions. Our e-mail system vendor has its engineers work around the clock, and Duke staff will also work through the evening here to attempt to restore service.

Most Microsoft Exchange users should not be impacted by this outage; however, Exchange users with DukeMail archives lose access to those archives temporarily.
