Fall schedule for free training, Learn IT @ Lunch seminars

Sept. 2, 2009

Learn IT @ Lunch, free training seminars to cover Web 2.0, information security and more

Online registration is now open for OIT's free technology training seminars. Many of our popular seminars are back, including Photoshop, Excel, parallel programming, and website design with Dreamweaver. New seminar offerings this semester include a series on Web 2.0 (Facebook and Twitter), introduction to HTML, Flip video cameras, and safe browsing with Firefox.

In addition, this fall's Learn IT @ Lunch seminar series offers an opportunity to learn about technology in a relaxed lunchtime environment. (Lunch is not provided; feel free to bring a brown-bag lunch.)

The series kicks off on Sept. 23 with "Online Training Opportunities @ Duke." This session will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. in the RENCI Conference Room, OIT Telecommunication Building. No pre-registration is required; seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Look for other sessions this fall in information security, advanced wiki formatting and VoiceThread.
