DukeStream adds Flash

OIT has expanded its current DukeStream offerings to include Flash Media Streaming.
OIT’s streaming media hosting service allows members of the Duke community to distribute media files via dedicated streaming servers. Flash is quickly becoming an industry standard due to its quality and performance, even over moderate Internet connection speeds.
Many Duke sites currently offer Flash video content, but the streaming server will help reduce load on the web servers and offer greater security because the files can’t be downloaded.
