E-mail issues update from OIT

While e-mail service is operating normally for almost all DukeMail users, the Office of Information Technology is asking any users still experiencing issues to call the OIT Service Desk for assistance.
If you notice any issues -- such as problems viewing messages or messages incorrectly marked as deleted or unread -- please call the Service Desk at (919) 684-2200, and an OIT representative will work with you to restore your e-mail as quickly as possible.
In addition, OIT is still working to restore Webmail access to shared mailboxes. Until the issue is resolved, users can access those mailboxes from other e-mail clients, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.
A system patch installed by OIT and vendor technicians on Saturday was successful in resolving issues such as inability to access messages and intermittent disconnects, and is running as expected. OIT conducted extensive testing throughout the weekend and continues to monitor the system to ensure proper functioning.
