Connecting to Duke via Ethernet

Duke's wired data network provides connectivity at more than 33,000 locations across campus. Once connected, you can use the network to get access to resources and information at Duke or on the Internet.

Note that each dorm room has two black (not white) colored data jacks activated for Internet/network (Ethernet) connection. Some dorm rooms have an access point installed in one of the ACTIVE black data jacks. If you need an additional Ethernet connection activated, contact the OIT Service Desk.

If your device does not automatically configure the connection, please contact your local IT administrator, or call the OIT Service Desk at (919) 684-2200.
