Windows XP Professional - Action required
The Microsoft patch requires Windows XP machines to be running SP2.
This patch is an "optional" patch, so it won't be applied automatically.

It has been reported that on some Windows computers, the DST patch will clear the check box for Automatically Adjust for Daylight Saving Time. In one case, the box was still checked, but had to be cleared and rechecked to restore DST functionality.
Windows 2000 Professional - Action required
Mainstream support for this product was retired on 6/30/2005. Unless you have purchased Extended Hotfix support, no update is available. However, it is possible to manually patch Windows 2000. See Windows 2000 under Supporting the DST changes on Windows operating systems.
