Installing PARIS for Mac OS X

To use PARIS on a Mac, download the PARIS disk image, then save the Citrix client and Duke-specific configuration file, PARIS.ica. When you are finished, start PARIS to ensure your installation is successful.

Download the disk image

  1. Click the icon below to begin downloading the client disk image.

  1. In the Opening PARIS install - MacOSX.dmg window, click Save File. The file is saved to the Desktop.

Save the client folder and PARIS.ica configuration file

  1. On the Desktop, double-click PARIS-install-MACOSX.dmg. A Finder window opens and displays the PARIS Install disk image, which includes the following:

  1. Drag the Citrix ICA Client folder to the Applications folder. Wait while the contents are copied.
  2. Drag the PARIS.ica file to the Desktop.
  3. In the Finder, click to eject (unmount) the PARIS Install disk.

Start PARIS

  1. On the Desktop, double-click PARIS.ica. A window appears, advising that you are opening the Citrix ICA Client for the first time.
  2. Click Open. The Citrix Client Software License Agreement window opens.
  3. Click Agree. The Citrix ICA Client opens and displays the window below. You have successfully installed PARIS! Read about logging into PARIS.

If you experience problems and receive an error message, make note of the exact message and the conditions under which it occurred. Contact your department's technical support staff, submit an online request for help, or call the appropriate help desk below. Advise the help desk analyst that you are installing the Citrix ICA Client for PARIS on a Macintosh.
