Group e-mail
Duke University has established a group e-mail policy that outlines appropriate uses for group e-mail. This e-mail policy applies to all group e-mails sent through the central mail system, including the Exchange service.
Using a bulk mail vendor
Duke University's contract with bulk email marketing firm Bronto Software, Inc., reduces start-up costs and rates for bulk mailings. For more information, contact the Office of Marketing and Strategic Communication. This contract applies to university departements only; health system departments should contact Roger Lewis for information on that organization's contract.
Mailing lists
OIT uses the mailing list management software Sympa. Sympa provides a user friendly interface for subscribing to and unsubscribing from lists, managing existing subscription preferences and viewing list archives. Click here for more information or to request a list.
If you would like to have a Sympa list added to the Exchange global address list, submit a request.
