Technology Training Coordinator

Christine L. Vucinich, MA - Technical Education & Outreach Coordinator

Christine Vucinich

Expertise: Overview of OIT Services, Desktop Publishing, WordPress & iMovie

Christine is the Technical Education & Outreach Coordinator for OIT Training. Her responsibilities include organizing the training program, training the trainers and marketing the overall program.   Christine has an undergraduate degree in communications and a masters in adult education and communications technology as well as over 15 years IT training experience in the classroom and working in higher education. She is also actively engaged in the higher education IT community through organizations like ACM SIGUCCS and Educause.

Eleanor Mehlenbacher  - Training Student Supervisor (Computer Science and Music, 2016)


Expertise:  WordPress, PowerPoint & Social Media

Eleanor is a junior hailing from Raleigh, NC. She can usually be seen around campus playing Ultimate Frisbee, lurking in one of Biddle’s practice rooms with her guitar, or singing with her a cappella group Lady Blue. She’s currently studying computer science and music at Duke and can’t wait to share her love for technology with other members of the Duke community.

Kevin Hu - Student Technology Trainer (Biomedical Engineering and Finance, 2015)

Kevin is a senior from Rockville, MD. When he’s not busy managing his ever increasing engineering workload, he enjoys jamming on the piano and playing tennis. You can see Kevin around campus singing for the Duke Chorale and screaming in Cameron. He joined OIT as a trainer because he loves technology and working with others!

Ben Chesnut - Student Technology Trainer (2017)

Ben Chesnut

Ben is a sophomore born and raised in Durham, NC. He spends most of his free hours playing in the Duke marching and pep bands, jamming with Jazz@Duke, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking through the beautiful landscapes of North Carolina, or reading and listening to music on one of Duke's many swing benches. His academic interests include math, computer science, and philosophy. His passion for technology and helping others led him to become an OIT trainer and he looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with others!

Sinclair Toffa - Student Technology Trainer (2018)


Sinclair is a freshman born and raised in Denver, Colorado.  He is planning to major in Computer Science and minor in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics.  Outside of class, Sinclair is involved in House Council, DukeAfrica, and Center for Multicultural Affairs.  You can find him playing the piano in the Mary Lou Center or playing basketball with friends in Brodie Gym.  Sinclair’s passion for computer science and customer relations has led him to join Duke OIT as a trainer!​

Mohamad Chamas - Student Technology Trainer (2018)

ChamasMohamad (who goes by his last name Chamas), is a freshman born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He is a Mechanical Engineering and Public Policy Studies double major (or so he hopes). In his little spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends reading up on global politics, discussing political systems and reading French poetry. He joined OIT as a trainer to satisfy his thirst for human interaction and to learn from what the Duke community has to offer.

Anika Ayyar - Student Technology Trainer (Computer Science/Biomedical Engineering 2018)

anikaAnika is a freshman from Saratoga, California. On campus she is a part of the Duke Honor Council, Duke Debate, and Lady Blue, an all-female a cappella group. Anika also loves cross-country running, cooking, and coding. She is planning to double major in computer science and biomedical engineering, and is very excited to join the student trainer team and share her passion for technology and computer science with the Duke community!

Caroline Ginty - Student Technology Trainer (Mechanical Engineering and Economics, Pratt 2016)


Caroline is a junior from San Diego, CA. She is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Minoring in Economics. She is involved in Outing Club, Greek life, the Society of Women Engineers and Duke FEMMES on campus. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, running, watching and playing basketball, and anything and everything outdoors. She is excited for both the learning and teaching opportunities in technology as a student trainer for Duke OIT.
