Christine L. Vucinich, MA - Technical Education & Outreach Coordinator

Christine Vucinich

Christine is the Technical Education & Outreach Coordinator for OIT Training. Her responsibilities include organizing the training program, training the trainers and marketing the overall program.   Christine has an undergraduate degree in communications and a masters in adult education and communications technology as well as over 15 years IT training experience in the classroom and working in higher education. She is also actively engaged in the higher education IT community through organizations like ACM SIGUCCS and Educause.

Student Technology Trainers

Eleanor Mehlenbacher  - Training Student Supervisor (Computer Science and Music, 2016)


Eleanor is a senior hailing from Raleigh, NC. She can usually be seen around campus playing Ultimate Frisbee, lurking in one of Biddle’s practice rooms with her guitar, or singing with her a cappella group Lady Blue. She’s currently studying computer science and music at Duke and can’t wait to share her love for technology with other members of the Duke community.

Ben Chesnut - Student Technology Trainer (2017)


Ben is a junior born and raised in Durham, NC. He spends most of his free hours playing in the Duke marching and pep bands, jamming with Jazz@Duke, playing ultimate frisbee, hiking through the beautiful landscapes of North Carolina, or reading and listening to music on one of Duke's many swing benches. His academic interests include math, computer science, and philosophy. His passion for technology and helping others led him to become an OIT trainer and he looks forward to sharing his enthusiasm with others!

Anika Ayyar - Student Technology Trainer (Computer Science/Biomedical Engineering 2018)


Anika is a sophomore from Saratoga, California. On campus she is a part of the Duke Honor Council, Duke Debate, and Lady Blue, an all-female a cappella group. Anika also loves cross-country running, cooking, and coding. She is planning to double major in computer science and biomedical engineering, and is very excited to join the student trainer team and share her passion for technology and computer science with the Duke community!

Caroline Ginty - Student Technology Trainer (Mechanical Engineering and Economics, Pratt 2016)


Caroline is a senior from San Diego, CA. She is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Minoring in Economics. She is involved in Outing Club, Greek life, the Society of Women Engineers and Duke FEMMES on campus. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, running, watching and playing basketball, and anything and everything outdoors. She is excited for both the learning and teaching opportunities in technology as a student trainer for Duke OIT.
