Finance Operations partners with OIT’s operational managers to help them best utilize the resources available at OIT and Duke. The group works closely with central Duke University offices – such as the budget office, procurement and accounts payable – to serve as OIT’s primary point of contact for central business and financial functions.
Finance Operations offers several financial and business services, including:
- Purchasing support
- Performance tracking
- Annual budgets and spending plans
- Budget tracking and quarterly projections
- Tracking and monitoring capital and minor acquisitions as well as strategic initiative plan (SIP) funds
- Account reconciliations
- Account receivables and collections-related activity for telecommunications
- Financial analysis
- Financial audits
